yeah so if it says, ignoring timezones, what is the local time in borneo what the aircraft arrives. so, assuming that they are the same time (thus ignoring time zones), the plane arrives at 7am... otherwise, how and where does the "ignoring timezones" fit into the question?

- The plane leaves Kenya at 10pm.
- What will be the local time in Borneo when the plane arrives?
- 9hr flight -- changing it to Borneo time you would + 5hours.
- 9 + 5 = 14 hours. It would be 12 midday.
- Even though it says ignore time zones, and you and i interpret them differently, it clear says in the main part of the section, what will be the local time in BORNEO.

if they wanted you to think they were at the same times they would not have said the local time in borneo.

but why would they say ignore time zones then? how does that come into the question? the bos doesnt put in useless information just to drive you insane.

ps. they wouldnt have said ignore time zones if they didnt want you to ignore time zones..

ignoring timezones mean you ignore the worlds SET timezones, for example eastern standard time and such.

so if you knew what the timezone was in kenya, say for example eastern african time, then you'd ignore what that timezone means and answer the question JUST by doing 1 degree = 4 minutes.

therefore the answer is 12 noon on wednesday.. sorry.

yeah im 1 who put 7am cuz of the timezones and i typed timezones in on google and it said timezones refers to every 15 degrees equalling 1hr. so in that case i still think 7am is the correct answer
timezones refers to how they figure out what time it is in each area, i dont really know how to explain clearly. but if the time changes every 4degrees of longitude, it would change too much just across one country. like syd and perth are 2 hours apart, though they are probably more than 8degrees.
therefore the answer should be 12 noon wednesday

The answer is 060 degrees.

south west is 225 around, minus 45 to the south quadrant leaves 120
take another 90 off leaves you with 30 left from 165 degrees.

then 90-30 degrees = 60
