I want to drop a subject between general maths and IPT. this is because i am doing 12 units and i want to do only 10. these are the options because i am doing well in my other subjects. In ipt i came 4th in the class out of 15 students. 3 students came first. i don't know about general maths because i just dropped down from 2 unit maths.
Any comments on what i should drop?

Any more info apart from that?

I mean, you don't just drop a subject. You need to have a reason to drop it...

Yeah, I agree with that person. ^^^

What are your marks like in each?

I would say it'd be better to keep maths than IPT, but if you're doing heaps better in IPT then maybe you should drop maths.

You need to consider all your other subjects and your respective grades. I also dropped from 2U to General and I hate General to be honest, its a bore and a drag, the pressure to do exceedingly well in a subject that scales so badly is also not pleasant.

I have also heard that IPT is mind numbingly bad as well, scales horribly too, but if you are good at it I would suggest keeping that, do subjects you are good at.

Personally in my opinion - I'd drop general maths - because lets face it - with General you have to do really well or you will be scaled down. IPT - same thing but to a lesser extent.

Therefore I think it would be more beneficial to keep IPT.

Do you have to drop a subject?

Why don't you keep both of them and see how your marks and ranks turn out then go from there.
That way you can see how you do in general before making the decision.

I say keep both. You're doing relatively well in IPT and since you dropped from 2unit you might have an edge in General Mathematics.

I say drop both.
Or drop IPT.
Or drop General Maths.
Or drop neither.
