for the financial outcome my working was:

4/12 x 12 + 6/12 x 0 - 2/12 x 3 - 5= -0.50

i think from everyone else's answers for this i may have got this wrong wahhh

actually no, i think im right, there's a question just like this from 2010, and i looked at the working out and i did the exact same thing, so hopefully its goood

It was a loss of $3, so the whole working out should be (4/12x12) + (2/12x-3) - 5, equaling an expected loss of $1.50

dont worry too much neither did i, i saw my tutor straight after my exam and she marked the answers of mine and shes also a supervisor for the exam for merewhether high, and she told me not to worry too much about it because she said the amount of 'not attempted' booklets she got back from the questions was unbelieveable. and concidering i go to hunter valley grammar and apparently everyone said they wern't even close to finnishing made me feel a bit better.

shortest distance = 360 - 269
= 91

kiddo, you do know for 12 that you had to flip the equation on one side ( the right side) then cross multiple. Thus the answer was D.

kiddo, you only cross multiply if theres an "=" between the two fractions, in this case you inverse the first one annd then you go numerator*numerator/denominator*denominator so its 3x^2y*5/3*2y
the answer is A

Maybe it was the wording that confused everyone, I found it fairly straightforward.
