nop i got 2 hour 40 mins around there. You use the longitude (second number) in which the difference wasn't that big.

just divide the difference by 15 and change it to minutes/seconds and you got 2 hour something

"Sydney, Australia is 3 hours ahead of Singapore" - googled it so i got around that.

the degrees where singapore 1n, 104e and sydney 34s, 151e. So all you do is 151- 104 divided by 15 convert to minutes and seconds and you get 2 hour something (sydney ahead)

yes sorry i wrote it wrong i did 3 hours as well, the difference in longitude is 47 degrees, so 47 / 15 = 3.133333333 (i dont have a calculator on me atm but thats the answer in min, sec)

the exam was very hard, i left like two pages blank, i didn't know what to write for some of the questions and the structure was so different. and the exam was so long and the time was so short. the should at least make to 3 hours.

I spent the full 3 hours and had around 2-3 minutes to check back on answers. I was recalculating my answers to every question and checking back to see if each answer was correct, so that took a lot of time

according to simpsons rule yeah, 1.2 represents the hieght so thats the final part of the formula. For this question you had to calculate the areas of each sector and substitute that into the simpsons forumla to get the volume

Yes thats what i did. Two surface area formulas for the total surface area multiplied by 1.2m

Yeh it's stupid. I only know because I had to get insurance when I got my P's. Otherwise I'd have no clue.... Did anyone else catch the trick btw with the bicycle/bus is cheap?

Motorcycle: 1L:17KM
1/17 = 0.05882352
Motorcycle: 0.05882352L:1KM
0.05882352 * 34 = 2
Motorcycle: 2L:34KM
2*10 = 20
20*1.67 = 33.4
Motorcycle = $33.40 for 10 trips

Bus = $36.40 for 10 trips

36.40 - 33.40 = $3

Motorcycle is cheaper than bus by $3

Question only specified one way as per the wording "Xuso is comparing the costs of two different ways of traveling to university

The bus stated 10 single trips (5 return trips) so 5 days not 10 days.

The total question is

Xuso is comparing the costs of 2 different ways of travelling to uni
Motocycle uses one litre for every 17km travelled. Cost of fuel is 1.67$/L and a distance to home to uni is 34km. Cost of travelling by bus is 36.40$ for 10 single trips. Which is cheaper.

Motorcycle to and from uni = 34km.

so 34 x 10 = 340km (total km to and from uni for 10 single trips)

340 / 17 * 1.67 gives 33.4

BUS = 36.4 - motocycle 33.4 = 3$ FOR 10 TRIPS

AND THUS $0.30 FOR EACH TRIP

i wrote $0.30 per trip so hopefully thats right. I dont see any reason why both 3 and 0.3 cant be right.

Yes thats what i did. Two surface area formulas for the total surface area multiplied by 1.2m

Wait, i thought the area was multiplying depth and the side for each one, so (21.88 x 1.2 + 4(25.63 x 1.2) .....), i was pretty sure that was right but now im in doubt

I know what you're talking about the diff simpsons forumla for area yeah ? I used the standard one for Surface area

I did it because volume = surface area * depth

pretty sure its the same answer for both i just did the longer way because im use to it unless it explicitly states
