You had to use the formula max velocity = na and max acceleration = n2a and from there it was easy
are these 4 unit formlas because i dont remeber them...
i know the a=-n2x ....but i didnt learn max acceleration formula???

No. We learnt them in 3 unit.

Either way, you can derive them yourself.

Say x = acosnt
v = -nasinnt
a = -n2acosnt

But the maximum/minimum that sinnt or cosnt can be is 1 or -1

So the max v occurs with sinnt = -1, therefore max v = na
And the max a occurs with cosnt = -1, therefore max a = n2a

i didnt use the formulas, i used the principle of SHM; which is that acceleration is maximum at the end points and zero at the origin, whereas velocity is maximum at origin and zero and the end points.

lol I got 56/84, which is 66% raw. What does everyone think that will scale to?

maaaaaaaaaaan i hope i got at least 50%. i was equating my marks and i think i got about 40-45 out of 84. anyone know wat that scaled mark would go to? im hoping for a ~40/50 i'd be happy with that. pretty hard paper i reckon especially
q7 i didnt answer at all and also left out some chunks every now and again *sigh* 3u english tomorrw :(

My crisis: in the inverse function question I misread the domain to x>=1
I did everything according to it. Will I lose marks? And if the following parts are to used the results of the previous parts, will I lose marks for them as well tho I'm doing them right with the new domain???

wow what was that ! lol im hopin for 50 plus outa 84........ wierd coz i got harder ones right but easy ones wrong such as polynomialls ! ... haha happy i got the shm one right.. since max v was 2.. i made (x dot) equal 2 sin .. somethin t... then i thought wat do i need to multiply (wen i diferentiate) to get 6 (max a) .. haha so i put 3 = n... then yeaa went from theree..
haha just had tp post coz im excited... dont ask . :)

i love how the only people who thought it was easy were the 4 unit kids.
fags. why design an exam that half the people doing 3 unit cant do? seems pointless
this is true..... but isnt that the same for the 3u people doing the 2u paper??
from what i heard, most 3u ppl found the 2u paper easy and most 2u ppl hated it..

Are you sure just the first part? I mean, I did read somewhere about how, if I do right according to what I do wrong, my marks will still be counted for the consequent parts. I'm just not sure if all the markers will apply it (tho it's what the Board of Studies policy says).

^yes thats wat i said. ur marks will be counted for the consequent parts, that is; 2 and 3. whereas 1 will be wrong
