found it alright hoping for 80% - probability fucked me up the bum and the v^2 graph was a bit of a mindfuck with part iii) trying to find it all - if someone knew the answer to that it would be really cool! thank you!

The people who thought it was easy probably did 4-unit. The people who just did 2-unit and 3-unit would've found it hard - exhibit A and B.

FML.
Agreed... Alot of non extension 2 students couldn't obtain the result required.

Maybe. If you're capable of doing 4u (particularly the harder 3u area), then you should be able to tackle those corresponding topics in 3u.

The probability A wins was 1/2 so you find an equation for probability up to n and then multiply both sidens by 2^(n+1) to obtain the answer.
Actually I think you multiplied by 2^(2n+1) in the end
