What are your general thoughts on the exam

Personally im pretty happy with how i went, could have done a bit better but thats the way it always is anyway

I did quite well...

Until I get to question 10b, which was the equivalent of running straight into a brick wall, at full speed.

I'm thinking around 100-110/120. Anything more though, would be the fluke of a lifetime.

Easier than I was expecting, until 9 and 10.

9 and 10 were both harder than I was expecting.

Q 3-8 was harder than what I expected, but Q 9 - 10 is easier than what I thought.

I wonder if this is an ominous sign?

for the probability questions, i left my answers as % instead of decimal.... did i fucked up?

I think I did pretty good, as for questions 9 and 10, if I had more time I could have conquered those monsters, but the fun bit was that I used some 3 unit methods(Integration by substitution and binomial theorem for question 9(a)) for some of the questions.

BTW, for question 9(C), could you have said that when x=0 at the vertex of the function, f'(0)=0, to eliminate the constant term gained from the indefinate integral gained from f''(x)?

The questions I couldn't do/tried to do but failed to get somewhere were Q7 a) (don't ask, I think I blanked out or something...), Q9 c) and 10 b). Otherwise the exam paper was pretty decent.

Hopefully I get at least 100/120!

i did good except for Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8, Q9, Q10...besides that i did gud

Oh yeah for Q7 a i just multiplied everything by lnx (so it was (lnx)^2 - 3 = 2lnx) then solved as quadratic (lnx=x).

Is that right?

i thought it was sooo good
i definitely know that the most i got is 117/120 coz i got the last one wrong
did any1 get the 3rd last question where it asked to show that the total area of the 2 triangles was that weird answer?

so i screwed that up and continued on from there where i had:

x = (l times root 2) divided by 2

any1 else had same same answer?
then when it asked to find the length of MP it took me so long to work it out,
had sumthin like 14s + 8root2s + blah blah blah :S

other than that i think i got about 115/120 or at least 110!

For Q7 a i let ln x = y , and then solved normally. i ended up with 2 answers, being e^3 and -1 .. but cancelled -1 coz ln x cant equal that.
