So like the school of economics and finance office is in 5D. I thought the building 5 blocks only went up to C.

The Block D partition is pretty big- all of the computer labs, sofas and vending machines at the back, the school of economics/finance and school of accounting (when you walk up a couple of levels) are all part of Block D.

Exam timetable is out
not too happy with mine:
Accounting for Business: Saturday 7th June 9.30-12.40
Economics for Business: Tuesday 10th June 9.30-12.40
Managing People and Organisations: Wednesday 11th June 2.00-4.10
Marketing Foundations: Thursday 12th June 9.30-11.40

On the plus side I get 6 weeks of holidays

I always assumed that block C was the furthest because in like week one I managed to hit a dead end. :/

Also out of curiousity, are the biggest lecture theatres in the uni the business ones?

Cheers spence. I've made a thread on it. http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=171925

Nope.. I think the university hall is the largest.

Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Secks' Thread

Just got accounting for business mid semester results, 26/40, I'm happy with that considering the average was 16.87, and I thought I'd be lucky to pass

Hmm.. if you're not happy with your AB marks you should come to U:pASS!!

But that's only because everyone just finished exams and think that they won't need help. On the other hand I've noticed a lot more people in my lectures after the break. Gets really annoying though when they decide to have a conversation with their friends/not turn their phones on silent.

Yeah true. I do expect the attendance to pick up again this week- now that everyone in AB has got their mid-semester back.

Spence - 16.87/40 is probably a typical AB mid-semester average. Not to get you too worried- but it does have a 30-35% fail rate every semester. It has improved since the introduction of U:pASS though!

with UPASS i was wondering...are we allowed to attend sessions we're not registered for?

and nerdy as this may sound, are we allowed to attend more than one a week? i'm kinda lagging behind...

You can certainly attend my sessions (Tuesday 2pm @ KG or Thursday 3pm @ City). I'm not too strict with people not registering (even though I should be), but lots of people registered and the majority don't bother turning up at all. For example, my City session has 40 students registered, but on average 12 people turn up.

You are also allowed to attend more than one a week, there is nothing stopping you from doing it =)

Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Secks' Thread

i never realised acct for business was hard for the consensus- ive personally never heard of anyone failing it regarding the 35% failure rate though that's probably biased since many people don't even sit the exam ie :take that 100% final option and never bothered rocking up.

ive heard of people failing acct 2 which i found to be challenging due to the lack of instruction from FP.

Just got my marketing results. Apparently they give half marks for multiple choice. Seems a bit random
