hey so i want to a bachelor of science (advanced mathematics) but have been way too lazy this year to get an atar of 95 and i was wondering what kind of backdoors are available? like can i transfer from a BSc? take the hsc again? (which i really dont want to do) thats all the ideas ive got. thanks

Taking the HSC again would be just so dumb beyond words.

Go into a BSc first year. Work as hard as you can. Im not sure the fine details of first year UNSW subjects but if there are any electives gear them to maths. If your marks are high enough great. If not theres the Mathematics major

Just do a course with a lower cut-off that's related to science, work your butt off the fist year and then transfer

Several options

Ask your School for the AAA Scholarship, get an 85 ATAR, get 5 subject bonus points somehow

OR

Get EAS and get bonus points somehow

OR

Do the BSc, basically choose the first year units for BSc(Adv Maths) outlined here, get over 75 WAM and transfer.

BUT

What you should focus on the most right now is securing a competitive ATAR.
