Getting your cds to become mp3 files (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to put these tracks from cds onto my dads mp3 thingy, but I can only seem to get them in m4a format and that doesn't work. I've ripped the music onto itunes and sonicstage (I don't have windows media player because my version of windows isn't "genuine"). When I click and drag with itunes the files become m4a, when I do it with sonicstage it doesn't work at all.

Would anyone have any ideas that might help? thanks

Rip the files onto windows media player - automatically creates mp3

Google m4a to mp3 and download the converter - free, good and easy

go into itunes advanced preferences and change the rip setting to mp3

it does not create mp3 format files, it creates .wav format

get an mp3 player that can play wav, or, like gibbatron said, get a converter
