yes but once you are out of highschool it doesn't necessarily really work like this. What are you going to do, get one of your girlfriends to pass him a note in a lecture with "DO you like Tina? Yes/No plz tick" on it?

Sif not just ask the dude if he wants to get coffee/lunch? You don't need to have a massive crush on someone to ask them on a date.
williamc is right.

Girls don't ask guys out, but they do give signs that they want to be asked out using flirting, body language, eye contact and finding excuses to touch you.

One time a girl was talking to me non-stop about sex, and how she hadn't had sex for ages because she broke up with her boyfriend and he was a jerk and now she really craves sex. It was very unsubtle, but of course she would never actually say the words do you want to go out, or do you want to come back to mine.

Girls expect you to read the signs they give off and take action. Unfortunately they are often far more subtle than in this example, but remember if you misinterpret the signs and she says no, nothing bad will happen so just go for it.

People often know that nothing bad will happen, they just fear rejection.

Don't understand that really. Never been one to fear rejection, or take it to heart when i do get rejected. Only another 100,000 other viable options within a 30km radius of where i live. Just try again with someone else.

logically, it should be either girls or guys that ask each other out, seems the most obvious

Yeah but you rape women, e.g. Tamara.

If a girl is playing stupid games and doing immature shit and I'm only half interested in her it'd be more of a turn off than anything.

I prefer to be asked, but if i REALLY like someone yeah ill put myself out there.
I am the most subtle person I know.
I don't make any eye contact, and I'm careful not to given any signs at all. I am going to be single forever haha

no wonder you haven't been kissed yet... you need to be more confident and put yourself out there. you could be missing out on some great relationship opportunities because you're too reserved and the guy decides not to approach you. you're only young once :)

but the too-nervous-to-even-approach-them phase of a relationship is good in itself

Yeah, I know, but then again, I've only ever really liked several guys. Plus being at a girls school hasn't helped. It's usually home to school, school to home, the occasional eye contact at the train station is usually the go, no r'ship will ever develop out of that. And to top it all off, I'm frigid (because of stated circumstances) so everytime I have been asked for my number/email/go out, I always decline. I have never accepted anyone's proposition. Another reason on this never-ending scroll is that a lot of guys can be immature/shallow. I'm really not into the 'hey, ill date you for a bit then bye/i really want one thing from you at the end of the day' thing. I like the whole laid back friend thing, have a laugh blah blah, but more than that creeps me out at times, and I get a bit uncomfortable. Oh well.

fair enough. maybe give some of the guys a chance though. not all of them are immature and shallow. finding out which ones are the keepers is half the fun :) oh and i went to an all girls school too so i understand! just try and find social situations outside school eg. parties, brother school football games, mutual friends etc. most of the groups of girls at my school were friends with groups from our brother school so there were opportunities for socialising there. you can defiantly have the whole laid back/chilled relationship, you just have to find a guy who wants the same :)
