Im going overseas soon and will be stopping off at Hong Kong for a night. Any of you know some places to get cheap computer stuff, games, movies etc.. or did they get rid of the whole piracy thing?
Thanks

no point, you can't get anything you want here.

Hardware isn't much cheeper there, and i don't think the hassle for wrapping a protecting it is worth it.

However, consumer electronics (such as Mp3 player) are cheeper.

china is only cracking down on piracy in beijing, due to olympics

alot of computer products of electronics is extremely cheap in hong kong and china, but there are alot of fakeys, and if u want legit cheap stuff you really need to know where your looking, if you dont have anyone who knows good places, dont bother, or else you'll get yourself something faulty, most chinese over there are conniving people, but what can i say unemployment rate is high, and the economy doesn't look good now. My mum told me one her friends went over to china recently and they had yum-cha everyday because it was so cheap, like 4 people it cost them 7 bucks, now that's chinese dollars!!!

And you'll only have a 98% chance of survival.

Golden Building Shopping Centre
146-152 Fuk Wah St,
Sham Shui Po, Kowloon

Thats a whole shopping centre filled with computer stores. You're bound to find something there.

another good thing is that you can bargain
the price tag of something in hong kong is at least 30% above the price the shop is willing to sell at
