I'm getting the band set for christmas (already brought but will receive it on the day). thing is, there is a bunch of recall rumours on the internet and apparently my mum was told by Target that if there was a problem with the package then we have to send it ourselves to the company to get it fixed (I would still demand that they get it fixed or get a refund though, if they are like Big W then they have a return policy that i'll demand is followed - but the fact that they said it must mean they know something ?).

should I be worried? anyone have the bundle already and have any problems? (this is for the 360).

Nothing wrong with my one so far apart from the snare needing to be hit a bit harder than normal, but already ordered a USB cable from Harmonix to fix that up.

If anything it's been Rock Band that's been having the issues, so I wouldn't worry about GH, its a fairly solid set.

I agree. Some GH songs are ridiculously hard compared to real guitar.

A couple of days ago I was watching a video on youtube where the guy opens up the cymbal and tampers with its sensitivity using masking tape. I dunno if you can do this with a snare too, but here's the video it you're interested:

On topic, I wouldn't worry too much Cyan Phoenix. Target should have a refund/exchange policy for faulty items.

Target as a retailer have a legal requirement to provide a refund, exchange or repair at the customer's discretion if the product is faulty

I agree if there is a problem with a product at the time of purchase and you have a receipt, then there refund policy goes out the window, and it is there reesponsibility to replace the product

that is true...like enter sandman, dont fear the reaper, creep, sweet child of mine (intro not most of song and solo haha), heart shaped box....list goes on....

but sounds so much better when you actually play it on guitar...pushing the same buttons to correspond to different chords is just wierd...i guess its sorta like the strings...except there is only 5 haha

This man, he speaks the truth. I work at EB Games and the manager got us to either try talk people out of buying it or tell the about the patch they have to send out.

Found my MIDI cable and fixed it up myself, quick as.

I'm not going to destroy my hi-hats as fast now!

nah. I'm no good at the real thing....
You do know that it takes more than a few hours of practice to get good at an instrument don't you?

Like quite a few hours. Unless you've invested serious time into it then of course you're going to be no good.

But there are few things more satisfying than the first time you nail the Master of Puppets riff, or the first time you're able to play the solo from Sweet Child O' Mine...

You do realise people enjoy playing the game because it's fun right?

Yeah fuck why do I watch porn when I could go out and bang sum hot slut? I mean, it's plausible that with a lot of work I could manage to pull some hot bitch to fuck, but hell I could just fap to some porn right now.

ever so slightly disturbing thought...

Though the analogy is broken somewhat. More like going out and getting married to a really hot chick who stays hot, is never a bitch and earns enough money so that you don't have to shout her for everything. Guitar being a lifelong skill and all...

No I know the game is fun. Hell the only reason I haven't bought it is a lack of money at current time...

I was just commenting on the OP saying he's no good at guitar. Just wondering if he actually... you know... tried for more than a few hours.
