When I was still using Fructis and Pantene, even with all their treatments my hair colour would still fade really fast and become dull. Since I've been using salon products, my hair colour hardly fades at all and it's shiney up until I colour it again.
Silicon's in nearly all hair care products, whether or not they're from the salon. I just find the salon stuff more gentle and better for coloured hair.
