Half yrly reports = big wake up call. (1 Viewer)

I recieved my half yrly reports today and thought I got somewhat decent marks, I am extremely disappointed with myself.
I'm currently 3/14 for moden, 6/21 for ancient, 6/44 for business, 9/24 for adv English, 16/59 for gen maths and 13/19 for legal. Yes, I know, appalling. I'm just angry because I started off with greak marks and became extremely lazy during the half yearlies and have now just started to get into study mode. I am determined to get top 3 for everything come yearlies.

Just needed to vent. Not seeking sympathy, though maybe empathy of some sort?

Thanks for trying to warn me, but sadly I didn't take your advice quite a few months back. I will now. I'm going to relax, but study and whatever happens, happens. It's only preliminary. Thanks again, wish I wasn't as stubborn and ignorant last yr.

anyway, considering it's year 11, don't worry too much. just try your hardest for now and pick up skills necessary for year 12.

Relax and study in moderation (ignore your current ranks and just study zzz), no point going hard out right now when the chances are you will burn out in Year 12 or in the HSC.

they aren't that bad tbh. But yeah, obviously you can do better, which I'm pretty sure you did.

I think my asian parents would be quite satisfied with those marks. So long as you do your best, I think they are fine with that.

Hmm same here actually... my ranks so far are:
Music 2: 1/5
Ancient: 1/30
English Adv: 1/ about 60
English Ext: 2/8

Physics: Not in the top 10/25
Maths Adv: 20th or 21st/65
Maths Ext: No idea but considering I failed my last exam (along with everyone except for 5 people) I doubt it's a good placing....cannot wait to drop -_-

Conclusion: I need to put WAAAY more effort into the non-humanitarian subjects....

It's ok, trust me you are not only one who feels this way. All I can think of right now is how glad I am this is not yr 12!
