During our half-yearlies we had our English speech assessments and I was absent due to an illness. I handed in an appeal with a medical certificate but since it was the last week of school and before holidays for some reason I never got it done (even though I had it ready). I remember I had another exam on that day too but I re-did that asap the first week back. I remember asking my english teacher when I will do my speech and she just replied "I havent recieved anything" and I kinda forgot about it and never chased it up until it said on my report "Jonathon really needs to catch up on his work, not doing his speech affected him in a very negative way..."

If i recall it was worth 10-15%.

What can I do? Ask for an average mark?

Who do I see? Im thinking of speaking straight to the deputy principal cause im sure the teacher who does all the appeals wont have a clue.

This isnt fair.

Go talk to the head of english first of all. If you have to, go back to the doctor and get another medical certificate, if that doesn't work then go to the principal or someone high up that will care

Chase up what happened to the paperwork that you originally handed in.

That has got lost in the school system somewhere and you need to find out where it is and why it hasn't been acted on so start with the teacher you handed that paperwork to.
