What bookstores are you guys working in?
Borders Parramatta.

Nebuchanezzar, I'll check the Dementor price at Borders tomorrow. PM me and remind me to let you know what it is. I have the feeling it's either $15 or $30 depending on the size you want.

The ones I saw were massive 7ft type ones.

I'd easily pay $30 for one, but if they're $200 or so then forget it. I would expect it to be quite high, given that cardboard cut outs for promotions reach about $100 (According to EB).

jhakka, is it alright if you could also check how much the HP book is at Borders without pre-ordering? I'm pretty sure there has to be a Borders in the city somewhere where I can buy it.

I think Angus and Dymocks are selling it for $30 if you pre-order it, and they said its $50 RRP, which I think is a load of crap.

Oh, I thought you were talking 7inch. :p

lala2: At the moment it will be $29.95. We don't know if it will be cheaper on the day.

SPOILER!!!

I don't know if this is true, but someone posted this on another site, and they think it might be the epilogue!

Riiiight. What have they got that Gabriel doesn't? A lot of people have claimed to know what happens, but the only way they could have gotten a copy like that - I'm assuming it's typed as you need to log in to see it (and as hot as Watson is, I'm not goig to bother) - is through either Rowling or Christopher Little, her publicist. neither fo them are going to be stupid enough to leave it lying around, unless the person who posted it stole pages from the printing presses (which would be damn difficult).

So I assume you will also be Auror Smith, then? I share the pain of a difficult surname.
No, there's already an Auror Smith or two. And there's no way the others are going to call me something other than my name; most children laugh when they hear it the first time because it's so difficult to pronounce. Thank the stars I'm not doing primary education ...

Well I don't know if this has been posted already (cbf searching through the entire thread), but I've just realised that Bloomsbury have released the inside flaps and backcovers  Did they do that for the HBP or Order of the Phoenix as well?

The person on that forum got it from some other place. And it really has nothing to do with Emma, i just couldnt be bother looking at the link, and didnt want to post the actual thing up.

It probably is fake, but you never know ..

Kujah- I saw that, they had something like Harry was waiting for the Order to come and get him at the start of the novel. But i can't remember if they did or didn't do this in the last few books.

Inside Flap:

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety, and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear or hesitation the inexorable path laid out for him.

In this final, seventh instalment of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling unveils in spectacular fashion the answers to the many questions that have been so eagerly awaited. The spellbinding, richly woven narrative, which plunges, twists and turns at a breathtaking pace, confirms the author as a mistress of storytelling, whose books will be read, reread and read again

Back Cover:

Harry is waiting in Privet Drive. The Order of the Phoenix is coming to escort him safely away without Voldemort and his supporters knowing – if they can. But what will Harry do then? How can he fulfil the momentous and seemingly impossible task that Professor Dumbledore has left him with?

Dunno if thats true or not
