Has there been a typo in my results? (1 Viewer)

For my Maths Mark this is what I got:

Assesment mark: 62/100
HSC: 70/100

Yet my examination mark was 77/100

yet for all my other subjects for example Modern History assement Mark 80 HSC was 81 and my Examination Mark was 82. It just dosn't seem right, can anyone justify why my Examination mark was so high in comparison to my assesment mark and HSC mark.

Umm no it looks right... HSC mark is the average of ur assessment and examination marks .... so it looks fine.. you got so high for examination cause you probably did way better in the external exam so it pulled your mark up

I think you read it wrong.

For your Maths mark, I think it's

Assessment mark: 62
Exam mark: 77
Overall: 70

HSC mark is the overall mark.

HSC mark is the average of the Assess mark and Exam mark.

(62+77) divided by 2 = 69.5

therefore, 70 is your HSC

To be fair, the OP did show a fundamental failure to grasp the concept of an average. Flaming was to be expected.

i didnt do a single hour of eco all year, and its result would never bother me becuase it wouldnt count. the only reason i kept it on was because i needed it to have 10 units of hsc (note: cosmology doesnt count as a hsc subject, but does count towad the UAI)
