So my dad rang just then. He still thinks the UAI is a percentage!!!

I had to let him down easy, he sounded pretty disappointed but we talked about what I could do, now.

What's funny is, he kept asking: "With your UAI, can you still go to uni?"

He also thinks that the lowest UAI is 0 - meaning you can't go to uni at all, ever. These asian parents are such a laugh. It wasn't too bad though, because he just wants me to go to uni (and for some reason, he keeps pushing Usyd over UNSW to me) - and enjoy what I do/study.

but he knows the importance of going into uni..like to him..uni is the only way out if u seriously want to be competitive in this world..

but good thing is he dun mind wat uni i go to..as long as the course i pick is suitable

Most Asian parents really do have a good point they really want their kids to succeed i dont know about you guys but my parents arent like well educated mainly coming from china and hong kong and they didnt have money for education back then so they do like to wish us to be more successful and have a good job rather than having to be like them without much credentials to get into a good and well paid job. so yeah
