FOr my extension project, i was thinking about doing a comparative study battle/invasion techniques, focusing on three main time eras (vikings, medieval, the aztecs, etc.) and specific battles during (Hastings, Poitiers, spanish conquest, tettenhall, etc.) Would I be able to do this??

There should be no problem with most of it but avoid the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs as that is one of the Extension Case Studies - Spanish and Incas isn't however.
