I always think balance is good. Comprise a to-do list and give yourself a time limit to do it in, for example, 3 days to brush up on Biology. That way you don't procrastinate. Then give yourself a reward if you do it, like going out or seeing a movie. This really works if you stick to it, if you don't then you're just cheating yourself.

Edit: and only do a few hours of homework each day so you still relax. It's really important to relax during the hols so that you're not so easily drained when term starts.

I spent my year 11 holidays doing assessments and crap with a balance of social activities - gone of the days of social fun :(

Year 12 holidays - PIP PIP and PIP, No social fun anymore, aka no social life at all. plus I start a TAFE course tomorrow so now my holidays will mean getting ahead of that work so when school goes back I can concentrate on that and work on tafe work on my Fridays off!

:) OH joys of being in year 12..:bomb: hehe.

I've been studying hard and playing hard but today I played Paintball and now I don't want to study for the rest of the day.

I probably shouldn't say this.... but.... I'm playing DOTA :mad1:
rofl but i'm forcing myself to do some exercises for maths and writing up about a page of notes for every subject :burn: ~ you should at least read through some of your work so you don't forget vital information for when you return to school.
Thats my suggestion :headbang: *goes off to play dota :spzz:*

I have done just about nothing, besides a bit of Biology homework today.
Thanks to this thread I don't feel to bad about my lack of study now :)
When i get back to school I'm sure i will regret it though.

I've been planning to do work all holidays - but have just started now.

Probably did about 4 hours of 2U Maths today, and went through a few Kanji for Japanese Cont.

But i have half yearlies straight after the holidays :). so.

Some of the comments make me feel less guilty than I would have been without reading them because I have done close to ZILCH in terms of work..

I know I will regret this come the last few days of the school holidays which is just around the corner..

i have exams pretty much when i go back.
these holidays, ive done some study but im not motavated at all.
but the good thing is, we only have to be at school when we have an exam. so for me 95% of those require me only being at school from 9-10:30 then coming home. i also have days offf. and i find if i study to early i dont remember anything at all.

I have been waking up at 12:00pm and sleeping at 2am every night. :p That's around 10 hours of sleep which is two hours extra from what I get during school. However, I am concerned that I will not be able to wake up early for school soon. :(
