word! hope so too man, for the trials (CSSA) 2u = easy, hence 3u=hard, hopefully the examiners used the same logic for 3 unit lolRichard ~ said:Haha, at least that ones over, i just hope that 3 unit is easier!

I heard that the university of sydney accidently leaked out their 4th year maths paper... and that the bos were too lazy to make a new one so they used that one instead...midnight_magick said:i found it 'challenging' i.e omgihateitsomuchitwassohardiwannadiekillmekillme

I didnt get the 3rd part but:jers said:seriously, that last question, no.10, was like an extension question. does anyone have any idea how to do it? neway, hopefully the marks will be scaled up. i reckon the rest of the paper was ok, though. spose i better go study for extension 1 and hope that it's easier......
i got 0.375 for part bLostAuzzie said:I didnt get the 3rd part but:
For the 1st part I just said that x-y or y-x represents the time difference which must be less than 15 mins (1/4 of an hr) for them to meet
For the 2nd Part I sketched a diagram with the two lines:
y = x + 1/4 and y = x - 1/4 and found the area between them.
Don't know if what I got was right but I ended up with 7/16 as the probability
Anyone else?
