Did the internet thing for colesmyer xmas casual (luckily when it was just new and not as popular as it is now, so it didn't take very long at all).

i went to an employment agency for both of my jobs, it saved chasing up individual businesses because i wasn't too fussy where i worked - first best + less and then the cherry factory. woohoo!! oh yeah, i had my very brief resume handy when i went

I wasn't bothered to go through the whole ColesMyer/woolies online saga. Some places where I asked got my to fill in application forms (KFC, Chickadee chicken etc.)

I've always just trawled around the shops, resumes in hand, and asked if there were any positions vacant... so far it's got me jobs at:

- Small family pharmacy
- Best & Less
- Oporto

They usually asked while I was there if I could come back for an 'interview' (Oporto did this by phone) but they were really just formalities (What hours can you work? When can you start? You'll need black trousers and a white shirt...) :)

Personally I think it is a waste of money to use an employment agency - especially if they are only going to get you a job at best n less.

i mainly use my resume to every where i want to apply for a job. if im applying on the net, i use cover letters as well. i rekon its more effective to go out to shops personally and ask if theres any position available and give in ur resume.
