no, i'm not a loner- its just that i don't know ppl. doing my course at my uni. (and plus most of my friends going to UWS or tafe) so thats why i'm asking

yeah, i struck up a convo with a girl doing arts, waiting for the library tour to start
we'll prob never see each other again, but it was good to know i can actually start convos and keep them going and stuff

Most of my friends at uni were friends from before
You ALWAYS meet new ppl in tutes whether u like it or not (cos u have to do group assignments etc), depends if they are friendworthy or not

My "best friend" from uni, if you like, became my friend cos she came in late to the first tute and sat next to me cos it was the only space free...its like the luck of the draw

I had a similar experience. I'm not one for starting conversations, so it made me feel all tingly inside.

well thanx- but i just started this thread- coz i felt many other ppl. would wanna know the same as well...coz everyone (in the usyd forums any ways) are scared that they might end up being loners in uni. LoL

yeah clubs is a good idea, otherwise in the first few days hunt some down and introduce yourself, or if you have any 1st year common subjects talk to them
