My school is ranked about 250 so i want to know if your school ranking has a large effect on your ATAR because im aiming to get 90+.

It's not school ranks which affect ATAR. It's subject ranks.

The state ranking of your school will not disadvantage your ATAR chances. Just do the best you can in all your assessments and exams.

School ranking has no effect on your ATAR but gives an indication of your schools performance of previous years. Some people like to use this as an estimate of how the school will perform in the following years which is often inaccurate.
The most important thing is your internal school ranks and trying to make sure they are as low as possible.
