1. Say if I put a course I am guaranteed early entry for as first preference (even though it is my backup & do I even need to do this if it's guaranteed?), and my actual desired course as my second preference, how does this affect my entry to the actual desired course? Is it worth doing this?

2. Another scenario, if I put guaranteed entry course first, a course that I have conditional entry to as second preference (again, do I need to do this?) and actual desired course gets bumped down to third preference, will THIS have a big impact on my acceptance into actual desired course?

The whole UAC application preference thing is confusing the hell out of me. :speechless:

UAC gives you your preferences BASED on preferences and your atar. What they do is this: say you get an atar of 80. if preference 1 needed an atar of 87 then they say, nope. next preference. preference 2 is an atar of 79. So they give you that atar.

I would put the course that I wanted to do, first, regardless of the ATAR.
