I know that prices are different depending on which course you do, units, new or secondhand etc but what's the minimum amount you would expect to pay? Particularly for USYD.

Depending really on how current the version is etc.

Each textbook can range from $100-250. Usually with a few subjects that becomes about $400-500 per semester. :)

For me, it usually ranged between $50-$140 each.

Always bought off the internet though so I saved quite a lot.

At USyd Libraries there are a few textbooks and additional recommended materials by the lecturer available on loan for approx 2 hours. But yeah, generally $100 up for a brand new textbook and there are flyers up and about in the first few weeks selling second hand ones or you can even find cheaper second hand and even brand new textbooks online. :)

From stores - $100 to $150

Second-hand (from personal experience) - Around $30 to $50 or so.

I usually purchased second hand then resold for what I originally paid (sometimes even made a profit on them)
