How much preliminary physics knowledge do we need to retain for the HSC? (1 Viewer)

I've heard some people say that preliminary physics isn't that relevant to HSC physics. Like, how most of the historical parts are omitted, you don't need to know how CDs/DVDs and GPS work and you only need a basic understanding of how a circuit works for electricity.

Can anyone confirm/ deny this and what do we actually need to keep for next year?

That advice is pretty much correct but I think you also need to know the basics of interference and diffraction and how this is a wave property and also you definitely need to know about electric fields and magnetic fields but you do go over this again so I wouldnt worry too much
