god on my list of what to not trust tiktok for, books is absolutely one of them 💀 💀 . but i'll recommend my two favourite books ever - the midnight library by matt haig (+if you liked that, how to stop time was also very good, by the same author) and good omens by neil gaiman and terry pratchett. i like historical fiction, if you're into that you should check out fatherland by robert harris (alternate history detective novel on germany post-ww2 had they won), it's a detective thriller and starts off with a murder that branches out into a much bigger conspiracy, it was really good.

have you got any recommendations? i really want to read a ton before school starts, i miss reading a lot :(
TYSM for the recs!! Gosh ur a life saver. Hmm, what kind of genres are you into? I try to read broad so I'm certain I can find one you'll enjoy.

OOhh I don't read many from magical realism.. have you read Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami?

Otherwise some good thrillers/psychological thrillers [I like the latter the most, to be honest]

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
Dream Town by David Baldacci
Dead Zone by Stephen King
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
Verity by Colleen Hoover
A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny
The Woman in the Window by AJ Finn

Most of these are available online as free PDF's on sites like zlibrary and pdfdrive (books can be so expensive tsk tsk). Let me know if you get around to reading them!! Hope you enjoy them, I know I did!! ;)

It's just another search engine, like google chrome or safari. If you type in something like 'tor browser' it should come up and give a way to download.

Reason it is 'dangerous' is that it is one of the ways to access the dark web

I read that msg a little too carefully. Sounded like you were stalking a woman while she watched tv...

TOR is a different type of browser used to access the deep/dark web (i forgot which). just search up TOR browser and install (i suggest a yt tutorial for this but i haven't done so personally YET). the link would probably be zlib.onion (all links end in .onion for tor)

isnt tor that browser where all those Ecriminals use to hack and get on the dark web? 💀
not necessarily hack but yes i'm pretty sure it has large amounts of ties to illegal activities

Tor is a browser that emphasises privacy and censor-free usage of the internet so while that means we're able to access zlibrary and stuff on there if you go actively searching for stuff you would find on the dark web you would. and it does have illegal activities because that's on the dark web, but technically using zlibrary is illegal too (that's why the fbi shut it down 😿 💀 )

Out of curiosity, now that the holidays are over, how much did everyone actually get done?

I went over mod 6 of chem and bio in the holidays, started modern history notes for the core study, did integration and vectors for ext 2 (and reviewed proofs) and did some common module work (rewrote an essay 3 times 💀💀💀)

Most of this work was done in January though, December I was at the Gold Coast and didn't feel bothered 💀💀💀 how about you?
