yeah, my principal told me the reason those kids were so smart was because they were really old and had already done the HSC equivalent overseas :eek:

I think that's cos they start school later than us.

nah, they just do the hsc here coz its easier and education is considered to be 'better' overseas

Really? But some people I know said they start school a year later there, or something. So if they do the hsc here cos it's easier, why are they often older?

nah, if they don't get into whatever they want overseas they come and study it here and they have already done most of their subjects so they tend to go really well in exams. And as for starting later i don't think they do, perhaps its just coz the schools run at a different times (like according to their summer and winter in the northern hemisphere)

16 turning 17 in July...i'm so young. Every1 has their p's and i don't even have my l's well i suppose that is just a result of my laziness :p

16 going on 17 in june ^^ my friends the youngest turning 17 in november... lol
some of my friends are international students and they finshed school in their country so they came here to study because it's more recognised. my other international friend came here to study because her parents had the money to pay for all those fees... lol

I've got 2 cousins in yr 11 this yr (from the philippines) and the eldest one of them is 18 this yr so technically meant to be in yr 12 but when they were living over there my aunt decided to start them together in the same yr.

im in yr 12, and im 15, turning 16 in a couple of months..

one of the youngest out there i guess.

i am seventeen and one month.
it's about half year older than many poeple of the year group.

becoming year 12 next year.
