How to Achieve an atar of 82? (1 Viewer)

hey guys, im REALLY scared for my atar result.
i need an 82 so far I've gotten 63/100 for English (17th out of 142)
45/100 for 2u maths (65th out of 89)
76/100 for ancient (14th out of 40)
65/100 for business (25th out of 65)
91/100 for bio (2nd out of 93)
what do i need to do? :/

Get a tutor for 2U Maths

Ace the trials and the HSC, they are worth the most.
Do lots of study, start now. Write lots of notes and don't leave assignments till the last minute. If you put the work in you can get an ATAR above 82 for sure.

School ranks are released after the HSC hence there are nome for 2012.


82 honestly isn't as hard as it looks. Put consistent effort in and you'll get it

We need to know the range in which your school lies in respect to the rest of the state.

Look up the 2010 full ranking list then to give us an idea.

Knowing whether it's a 300 or a 400 ish can make a difference to our estimates etc.

But I wouldn't be too concerned for an 82, if you improve your maths ranks a bit it should be fine. Your Eng and wow Bio ranks are very good You're still in the running for it with the half year remaining regardless of your school rank if you put in some more work.

do past papers for business it helped me majorly and try to rememebr ur quotes for history try to do practice essays to get used to writing cause if you write too less in the HSC it becomes a low mark.

haha yes my subject are a pain.. fml.. it's ALL remembering. EVERY SINGLE SUBJECT, KILLS ME.

haha yes bio my best subject, but the ironic thing is that it's MY MOST HATED ONE LOL..
and yes english.. our school marks incredibly hard, thus 63% = 17.
and my school was ranked 183 last year.
can i ask, what does ranking do with your atar? does it boost it up by like 5 points, if you're first, and none if you're last?
i don't get that ranking has anything to do with your atar, it's simply stupid, isn't it?

Ranking has to do with the strength of the rest of your cohort and your ranking compared to them.
