How to get sound from webcam? (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to record clips on my NEC webcam but there is no sound when I play the video. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Btw I use a NEC versa E6310 laptop

Does your laptop have a built in mic? Obviously if you're recording only video, it's not going to listen for input from the mic. Try looking in the settings of the app you're recording with.
