i know my writing is bad but i have no idea how to fix my mistakes :( and with an unresponsive teacher and very minimal feedback from past assignments, i feel like im just leading myself down an endless hole of failure lol. for some reason i can never write down everything i mean to say and my writing ends up being unclear. it's not a timing problem, i think more of a i'm just bad at writing problem. if it matters, i'm doing standard english :)

do you have any friends in advanced english who can give you feedback on practise essays? this can help with sentence structure, general content integration (not content accuracy as it's a different course but that doesn't seem like that's the major problem here), etc. this can also work well if you're good at a subject that they're struggling with, so you can kind of do a 'swap' of practise responses or feedback to help each other out.

id be happy to look over anything too. I'm only class of '25 but I do english advanced and extension 1, and get 85%+ fairly consistently, so I may be able to give some feedback

its all about Reader-Composer dynamic and why the composer made certain choices with language to convey a certain message or purpose. a formula i like is technique, quote, effect on reader (how do YOU actually feel after reading this quote or about this particular theme or idea in the text??)

hey!! i totally get where you're coming from. the questions are so open-ended its pretty hard to pinpoint exactly what they want from you. i'd never be able to write an essay on the spot under exam conditions. what works best for me is writing a solid paragraph for each idea/theme i want to discuss and then putting them together into an essay to fit the question. you don't have to be the best at writing to make sense. use youtube/litcharts/online resources to make sure you fully understand each idea presented in your text, and then adapt to whatever the examiner asks. im kind of struggling w mod C right now but ive finished the others. would be happy to give you feedback if you have an essay prepared/an old assignment u need a second opinion on:)

I guess that's only cause I stick by this one:

unfortunately its not, it's only a year 11 course. it's been a pretty interesting course, but i've heard that nesa is discontinuing it even just as a yr 11 course next year (although I haven't fact checked that)
