Re: 2012 HSC MX1 Marathon

Part of human condition is to make mistakes. You often see people at the top of their professions make the most ridiculous mistakes.

- Care needs to be taken young grasshopper. I once tried to convince a teacher 1/3 is greater than a half. I was obviously on sugar.

*GROWL*
Haha oh spiral you genius! I've probably done things just as bad. You be surprised how many stupid mistakes people make.

Re: 2012 HSC MX1 Marathon

can someone check my answers
is 3xe^2x d/dx = 6e^2x?
and d/dx e^(x^2-9x) + 2x^2 = (2x - 9)e^(x^2-9x) + 4x

and also the volume of the curve y=e^x rotated about the x axis from x=0 and x = 2.

v=pi int{0}-{2} e^2x = pi [ 2e^2] = pi ( 2e^4 - 2e^0) = (2e^4 - 2)pi cubic units

Re: 2012 HSC MX1 Marathon

Your first one is incorrect. There's a variable x in front of the exponential.

The last one, you integrated it incorrectly. Put 0.5 at the front of the integral.
