Does anybody know of any rules or guidelines concerning using a section of Musical Theatre for my IP. I know mime is accepted but im not sure how far the boundaries can be pushed? any help would be appreciated

You can do pieces from musicals, but I would avoid doing anything dependent on singing. It just makes things so much harder for you, and gives them a lot more to criticise. Also, most of the character development in musicals is expressed through song, so you'll be struggling to find very strong 8 minute pieces.
