Ever since I started year 12, ive had this mind set of getting into usyd (electrical engineering) with a goal of 92+ as the minimum. now im into term 2 with my phyiscs test in a week. ive been procrastinating everytime im onto my computer and my teacher is not helping. He hasn't showed up for 5 of the 6 weeks into this term. I have no idea what im doing in this module (electromagnatism) and i think im doomed. Im personally a visual learner, needing a physical explaination or at least an in depth explaination of what and why when this and that. Textbooks help but limited with answering my confusion, and i need the motivation. Ive tried doing hsc papers but i can't do them cuz i dont know what im supposed to do.

I need your help with any study tactics so i can actaully go into my dream course.

1st of all u need to relax you can get the 92

2nd of all know ur syllabus, watch videos, do past papers, mark them and repeat until you cant get any of them wrong

if u do this and u stay calm youll be fine

like when i took a shit or showered it would be playing

That covered the basics for me and instead of doomscrolling insta, i woud doomscroll physics mcq like strive or past papers

Does it help? I have a genuine addiction to my phone and love watching videos while eating.

yeah but its not that effective unless ur also doing past papers or some form of active recall along with it so that you consolidate ur knowledge i dont do science but thats how i assume u would learn the topic

lowkey js focus on your goal, and when you sit down to study, remind yourself that 92+ atar is what you're working for
that's gonna fuel ur motivation ngl

i don't do physics, and ppl may shit on me for saying this but use AI to your advantage, give it the syllabus and ask it to teach you in detail of each topic, then do practice/review qs as you go to consolidate your knowledge, then work your way up to hsc qs

agreed, but if you only got 4 days this is what i'd do
1. look at the past papers.
2. See the type of questions ur getting stuck on (is it majority mod 5 or mod6, mathsy side or content side).
3. Watch science ready vids based on that.
4. Attempt the questions again. (important!!), then another that is similar

A lot of physics maths, is the application of formulas. So if you don't know ur formulas. I'd suggest first learning what each variable means, what equations equal/are similar to each other, what type of question hints guide you to use a certain formula. E.g motor effect is used when you see when a current carrying conductor is placed in an external magnetic field... if you see smth like that in the question then that's ur go to formula right. So knowing when to use what is as important as how good you are at what ur doing ygwim.

Do that for like 5 past papers and your good. You'll start noticing a pattern of question types, then maximise ur marks in those.
For visual learning i think PHET has some good interactive online physics stuff.

scienceready for me is something that helps me to learn at a basic understanding, when i still don't understand the explanation i look for further resources (mostly videos, reading textbooks is a pain lol).

hope this helps!! (i'm giving advice based off of my chem experience, highkey suck at physics lol)
