imo confidence and arrogance are pretty much the same...

when it gets to the point of looking down on people and being downright rude to them because you think they are below you...

kinda like on tv and in movies when the rich people tell someone that another person is below them..

Pride comes from self-assurance I think, so that confidence approaches arrogance as it appears in a greater magnitude.

I am right in assuming that you mean that when people think they are above others (when they are actually not) they are being arrogant?

What if the rich person was better than the other person? If they told them they were above the non rich person, would this then still be arrogance?

uh being rich doesn't make you better than anyone else.
