i didnt get financial maths and i figured out that it was because i didnt understand the termenology of the questions
i didnt understand the terms used in the questions
like
credit loan, simple, compound, salvage and so on

once i memorise the definition of each term and understood them thouroughly financial maths is now a breeze

learn the terms and it might help you and practice practice practice

we're just doing spherical geometry now, and i hate it!
but with financial maths i think it is all pretty easy, its just deciding what formula to use, esp. with annuities. but with our FM assessment test, people that usually get 80-90 got like 60, so, yeah, it is kinda a hard topic

Actually out of all the topics I probably like financial aths the best
lol except I totally agree with the stupid names they out in the questions. My friends and I decided to make maths class a little moreinteresting by putting the names we wanted in there and decided what they were buying/ investing in. Some if it ended up a bit dirty....but hey we learnt how to do it lol :p

basically, decide whether you want to know the amount of money you will get later or how much you put in now..
if you want the amount of money you will end up with, then it is future value
if you want to know how much you are putting in now, it is present value
