i wouldnt be surrpised if they tested the galvanic cell set up, they haven't before
they haven't in hsc papers, but it was in this year's independant trials. personally, i hope they don't test the galvanic prac....because i hate that prac!

does this mean that what has been tested before isn't likely to be tested again?

e.g. fuel cells compared with something like a button cell (2001), sulfur and nitrogen oxides in the air (2002), biomass as a future source (2003), etc?

I have gone through everything but if these are not likely to appear, it would be better for me to concentrate on the parts which are likely to come up and overlook these

there's also patterns that they test something only worth 1-2 marks in the earlier papers then worth a full fletched 5-6 marks, thats done in SDD, as well as chemistry (rust process)

You have to know the structure of citric acid, its somewhere in the syllabus... Its a lot easier to draw than to say...

don't you mean the other way around? much easier to say than draw. 3-hydroxypropane, 1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid or C6H7O8

Yea, that's all i've learned on the "structure" on citric acid too... and then I just moved onto occurance and uses etc. I can't even find the drawn structure in many of the books!! Urgh let's just hope they don't ask us to draw it. *crosses fingers*

hmmm.. i went to the syllabus searched "structure"
and in the entire Acidic Environment Section
only an ester point came up, about the
"structure" of alkanols and alkanoic acids
which is more to do with the H bonding anyway

crossing your fingers paid off :D

Oh thats good... i'm really not going to bother with this any more.

I still went online though, to look for the structure, and this is what I found on the structure of Citric Acid:

But since it was from an internet site, I can't say for sure if its accurate or not. But really, I doubt they'd ask you to draw it anyway.

yeh, i wouldnt trust it either,

its missing a hydroxy on the middle carbon
where they just have a Hydrogen
