Hey thanks for attending to my post...
...yeh...im from SBHS....
heard from my friends...there are some pretty pro people/moderators on dis site willin 2 giving UAI predictions?...im really interested...

anyway...a lil background...

i came from normanhurst boys and entered SBHS in yr11, in hope to get a better UAI...anyways...my ranking sunk...but yeh sorta been pullin everything bak in the last yr or so~...yeh studyin hell more den b4...but always been clueless as to how i stand in my school..now i feel a lot more confident..yet now im confused abt how i stand in the state in terms of my rankings at the school...

here are my half-yrly report rankings.....

maths ext1 37/160
maths ext2 50/110
economics 24/88
physics 23/99
eng adv 125/190

i used to rank abt top 30..in everything in normanhurst.....was it wiser to have made the transfer?...or would i have done better if i stayed in normanhurst? ... how does my UAI look?.......

Its all relative. The reason you are ranked lower at SBHS is possibly because the standard is higher than at Normanhurst. For example, you could be coming first at Normanhurst, but still be coming last at Sydney Boys. Does that make any sense? Its all relative and you're probably not better off at one or the other (although I'd prefer to take the first ranking at a lower school, cos at least with first rank you aren't relying on others for your marks). Just work as hard as you can because if you hit your highest standard but there are still others better than you (which, Im afraid is a fact of life), it may even help you more than hinder you.

relax.........if you came in at year 11
it means your an import
and that the school are recognised you to be academically superior to the current grade by a BIG MARGIN

.im worried coz da thing is....my parents are always bugging me about WORK!!....like seriously...i have fights with my parents pratically 5 days outta 7......i mean yeh i love my parents n all...BUT all yr ive been tryin to drill into them the idea that studying ISNT eVERYTHING>.........they juss dunn get it!.....they purely see themselves as opportunity providers......and reckon the harder they push me the better ill DO......

take one example~... last night i did four and a half hours of work!!....but yeh i did say to my mum...ill try and do 5....but yeh i didnt....neways...woke up dis mornin....n my mumz liek full standin at the bed...scolding me abt it.....!!!!! ... fuc*kin got sooo pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......i mean does everyone get it as BAD As ME?!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe how tough dis yr has been....! i feel like the toughest relation dis yr is the 1 between us and parents....n i find myself on both sides...! lol...im not sayin' i have kids...but liek i get stressed when my rentz pressure me.... and in addition i stress abt my gf'z assessments...as though im her dad/mum....

I think im gonna go krazy! any1 like to lobotomise me?
