ive always liked the sound of matons, but thats a typical suggestion.

the best thing to do is just try them yourself.

how 'bout a semi hollow?

and general rule of thumb, you can't go wrong with a Ibanez/Gibson/Fender.

play extensively before you buy.

I assume you'll want to play more mainstream songs aye, if not, a nylon string Admira guitar is a pleasure to play and listen to :)

i actually dislike ibanez acoustics. to me they are missing the clear crisp sound. but yeh u should play around alot more before spending 1k

Also depends on whether you want to factor in an amp if you go for the plug in.

You should be able to get something decent but I'm no expert so don't quote me on that.

(i know nothing about acoustics, sorry. :( go and play some and find one you like... and do lotsa research on the net... read reviews but try to realise the bias and try the acoustic forums on ultimate guitar :p )

(it's my dads but he never plays it, so i can play it whenever... its a useless peice of comical shit ;D .)

and the explorer is way cooler than the les paul in general, that includes in guitar hero >;(

kind of funny because i was just talking about matons and now my uncle gave me his. its so old but..and he put nylon strings on it when they were spose to be steel..

i have to change the strings since they are like 6 years old and clean the fretboard. im dying to see what its potential is.

Its a m225 natural finish...any1 know how it sounds?

Nothing wrong with an old guitar. unless it was crap to begin with. Which Matons are not.
