i would neva die for a girl... fark dey'll forget about you in a while and date another guy and love the other guy... its called "moving on"... so its not worth dying for you gfs/wife/friends....

the only person i would die for is my mum... coz i know even after death.. she would be thinking about me...

peace^^
well i don't think u cud forget about ANYONE that DIED for u to still keep on living, whether u were a girlfriend or a boyfriend or even a random stranger, its just not something that u would umm.. forget? and moving on is a normal/natural thing and by not "moving on" ur also inadvertantly destroying ur mental health. "moving on" isn't betrayal or forgetting about the person u loved, it's just that. You've hurt and dealth with it (but not necessarily forgotten) and now ur living again

Could I possibly hijack this thread? I know its early days and theres still more to talk about but its semi related.

I just watched cast away for the umpteenth time, but it was the first time id ever gotten past the first bit. The ending part sort of got me thinking. So here goes...

If the person you loved dissapeared of the face of the earth, how long would you wait for them before you move on? What would you do if a few years down the track they came back into your life?

On the spur of the moment, I spent $5400 on return airfares and other expenses to join my girlfriend in Iceland for the remaining 3 weeks of her 5 week trip over there, although I did borrow $2000 of it from her. :D But for someone who I will end up marrying and spending the rest of my life with... it was just a minor expense, because I got to spend 3 of the best weeks of my life in one of the greatest places on earth with her and it was well worth it.

I'm not one to be getting all romantic-tradgedy and placing my heart at the alter of death for a loved one, so I'll leave that decision until the day it has to be made, if it has to be made at all.

Iceland was great, walking through the clean cold crisp air filled streets of Reykjav*k during the midmorning, travelling out to the geysers and hot springs which are dotted all over the landscape and spending the entire day soaking up the atmosphere before returning to the city where the alcohol is expensive, the people are friendly and the nightlife starts at 1am and doesn't finish till daylight... one of the best places on earth and for anyone looking for single available beautiful women and attractive men, it definitely has to be the starting place on any search. It's a place to go with your girlfriend, your boyfriend or your best friend because it's a place which definitely needs to be shared with someone else because its absolute magic, no matter what your there for.

And there's a small bakery 3 streets down from the town centre bakery which has pastries to die for. We only found it while having a wander down the backstreets of town and we're yet to find any place to rival it in terms of any meal.

awwww RINGO! MUMMY'S BOY!!!!!!

mum's are stupid. All they do is bitch about too much TV.

So you'll die for someone, and then they'll just go on with their lives and find another man/woman get married happily with kids. I know it sounds romantic when someone say "i'd die for you, i'll take that bullet for you". it kinda makes you feel all fuzzy inside.

i thought about this previously, and i think if you love someone enough, instinctivitly you'll save their life over yours. Your instinct will overcome your decision. there will be no decision at all. It happens all the time, parents saving their kids over their own life.

It's your AMYGDALA, it makes all the decisions for you. REMOVE IT NOW!!!
i thought one of the most human instincts would be survival - i.e. self survival. so i'd imagine when it comes to the crunch ur instinct would to be save ur own arse???

this is old, but i just found it so, if i love someone(in which i think i'm heading to...but still need time to be sure) i'd die 4 them, no doubt - if they felt the same way, its way uncontrollable, i think i'd be able to do anything 4 them :)

I agree, love should have no boundaries or limitations but sometimes there are.

If I loved someone, I would understand that they love me enough to not make me do things for them. I'd be a crap boyfriend.

well i dunno if i would die for a loved one... if it was a girl that i truly loved, i would try to save them from danger nomatter what, but i wouldnt necessarily be thinking that iam gonna die, i would just be thinking i would be saving them then boom iam dead... anyways dieing is lame, the chick isnt all like "that was so sweet" cause ure dead,

i would much prefer to tackle some chick out of the path of an oncoming truck, and injure me, not death like losing a leg, an apendix and a kindey[yeah u can survive with 1 kidey i think] then i can live knowing i risked my life for a loved one without thinking of my own safety...so hardcore
