jpr, oh theres not much difference to straight/gay commerce. It really depends on what your goals are. What you enjoy etc.
I am doing it to get a psych major which otherwise is pretty much impossible in my degree. Also to do some arts subjects.
It was more a response against people who said it was a bad degree. It isn't. Neither is Com/Eco/Eco&Soc.Sci etc.

EDIT: the extra year is more personal enrichment. i agree with the sentiment of having a year of work experience being better. hell, you could use that 4th year to do honours and get higher pay etc. If youre not that interested in arts/sciences and more in accounting I recommend transferring out of it.

Yes absolutely. Even though it has a much higher starting median wage. A much higher amount of people employed within six months. Much less people needing to do honours as well. etc .

Well after looking at the stats thoroughly I don't really see this picture develop. The only real difference is full time employment, but still I hardly see this as critical since it looks like more doing straight commerce go into further study (plus this is only for the year directly after uni). Still something to consider though. Stats being:

Yep as i said: not much of a difference depending on what youre aiming for.
The honours year will get you to the 40k anyway.

lib studies gives u option supposingly... if u are interested in both before u get into uni, then lib study gives u a taste of both, and allow u to specialise later on...

just like doin a sci/comm combine is abt the weirdest /useless combination there is... but because being so different u see much more than just a single degree...

Commerce/Science is a good degree; one of the most flexible ones available IMO.
