Dear Thomas,

I like this new letter style of writing. It makes me feel special all over.
I hope all the 05s did JUST LOVELY today in their AOS exam. EVEN YOU EVAN!
I'm glad you like the idea of the lip ring young Alex, I've been getting mixed reviews, people seem to either love it or hate it.
A word of advice to you all - NEVER EVER EVER EVER WORK AT A MARKET RESEARCH CENTRE. Ever. Every time I go in there I lose a bit of my soul. I'm a very soul-less young lad now.
Lots of love.
Liam.

Dear Lynn,

I feel somewhat guilty that I posted a message that you may have considered as "spam". To be honest I felt threatened by your initial response and that you have placed a spotlight on me, using me as an example of bad behaviour as you quoted the "rules" (which may I add, were hidden in hundreds of pages of, in my opinion, other spam) which I thought was directed at my message. May I suggest updating the front page of posts so that newcomers are aware of the format and purpose of the thread?

Due to the lack of creativeness at my current state of mind I am unable to provide you with a short story. Maybe next time.

Your neutral friend.

Dear Brian,

I didn't delete your post. If you scroll up, it's still there. Nor did I use you as an example - if I wanted to use *anyone* as an example, I'd quote them.

The 'message' above was written for the benefit of all readers and posters. Again, if I ever wanted to address anyone directly, I would do so via pm (and I have done this in the past).

Lynn.

EDIT: Spam in this thread is deleted by ee2 moderators. Chances are that if it's still up there, it's been approved. :)

Dear I-PR,

Things have been rather officious of late; deletions, and modding and little time for actual I-PR nonsense. I ask you - where's the love?

Yours truly,
A concerned citizen.

Dear Evan,
Yeah I really enjoyed that course. I've just deferred for this semester and first semester of next year but that's more because I needed a break after school. I love love love love the writing class and the cultural studies classes were mostly really interesting. I recommend it!

Dear Marcus,

Love is everywhere and judging by your username alot of it is coming from you;)
Evan believes that I-PR is simply going through some more growing pains and that everything will be fine and dandy eventually.:)

Oh, and as part of the weekly announcement - you're all my wives now! MWAHAHA!:D

Dear Charlie/Liam/Thomas/Martha,
Thats great to hear.:D There's been all these rumors on the forum that its a crappy course involving "fake BOS type english" where people think a 3 line poem about sunflowers mean suicide  But most haven't done the writing class so yeah. Thanks Tracy from Evan.:)

Dear Evan,

I'm not sure what that sunflower stuff means. Are you sure it's not another Ray Martin posse? I also thought I would also gleam about IPR having reached an insane 500 posts.

Dear I-PR,

You are not what you used to be. It's sad, but true. The 05er invasion has DESOLATED you. Where are the 04ers? We post so rarely now. The fun we used to have - the energy of the thread, the late night humour and the lude commentary - it's not here! I can understand that we no longer have time to obsess over you, and I do apologise - but you are not even preserved in our absence. You are all fettered with annoying, and often classless posts! It pains me to see you this way. I do not know if I shall visit you as often as I have. You aren't what you used to be, and I'm not liking what you've become.

Yours,

Dear IPR,

Whilst the 04's are not always around physically, I do believe we all carry you in our hearts and particularly with the increased face-to-face conversations we have nowadays, our focus of attention has been somewhat shifted... but it always comes back to you.

Marcus, I know it's sad to see what ipr has become, but not all is lost... whilst there has been an increase of administrative measures in recent days it has been for the benefit of IPR. These may be uncertain times, but hopefully it will put the class back into IPR and re-foster the supportive and loving community that brought individuals together.

I propose as a sort of birthday present to IPR, that we gather as many of the originals as we can. IPR is too good to loose without a fight!

Love Lynn.

PS: Methinks love and class go hand-in-hand.

Dear Lynn,

You and Justin and Katie and Susan and the others are all good friends of mine. We all go out, enjoy each others company, and have a good time together. When I am talking about I-PR, I am referring to the thread itself. It's no longer the great meeting place it was, and that upsets me. It's not I-PR anymore, it's just another spam thread. If the way that we all communicate has changed, why should I bother with a spam thread that's simply begun to get under my skin?

Yours,
Marcus.

Dear I-PR,

I had a draft of a very funny letter I wrote during my epistemology lecture today.

However, opening this thread, I believe there is a lot that needs to be talked about, and the first port of call for this will be with my fellow moderators, Justin and Lynn.

Therefore, I-PR is hereby closed, pending further notice.

Yours sincerely,

Susan

Dear Marcus, Evan, Matt, Monique, Lexi, Amy, Diana and anyone else who may have been in this thread of late,

Justin, Lynn and I would like to state that we recognise that in the last couple of weeks, moderation of this thread has been too extreme and harsh. Nobody owns this thread and everyone is just as welcome here as the next person (apart from trolls, whom we will address in a moment.) It is important to recognise that I-PR holds a very special place in the hearts of the 2004 graduates, but it is just as important for I-PR to be yours as well as it was ours. In moderating the thread, we were taking too personal an approach and for that, we apologise.

I-PR was borne out of spam and will remain the spam thread for this forum. It serves its purpose well, but it is also special in that we can help others in here and vent the frustration and loopiness that happens when one does the English Extension 2 course – an of course, fostered an intense friendship between the 04ers. We want that to continue for the 05ers and the 06ers too. (as well as many other future generations) We recognise that I-PR had a certain culture for the 04ers and that culture may want to be altered by the 05ers – it is the natural progression of a thread and we accept that.

However, this does not mean that trolling or flaming will be tolerated. This includes spamming of an offensive nature. It is only fair that these rules are in place, as we would treat trolling/flaming and offensive spam in the same manner all over the forums. We will continue to deal with this in the way that we as moderators see fit. (and this includes removing those posts that are of that nature.)

In the spirit of I-PR we would love to have you all still stay, post, be-friend and help each other and new-comers. We are sorry for the misunderstandings that have occurred of late.

Good luck to all of you in your HSC.

With warm regards from

Susan, Justin and Lynn.

Dear everyone,

Just to get our minds off nasty sad things (yes, I admit my over-moderation due to the fact that I was seeing this in a personal way), I have lots of photos from Saturday night. I had about 96 on my camera the other night, but here are just a few of them.

Some photos from last night:

Dear <insert witty title here>

Katie would just like to clarify that yes, she is just as retarded in real life as she appears in the photos so kindly posted by Justin. They have not in any way shape or form been taken out of context, that is her... being normal. She would also like to add that just as she is incredibly retarded, she is also equally sexy, so watch out ;)

Dear young Alex,

I'm 19. That makes me so much older and muchly wiser. lip piercings on girls are OKAY but yeah I don't know if I've already said this but the vertical labret on girls are way way way sexy. Mmm.

Evvvan.
I don't really know what you're talking about in regards to the sunflower suicide poem thing but I can assure you in my whole one semester there there was none of that. The cultural studies classes are really interesting topics about pretty random but yeah cool stuff. And the writing class is a great way of fostering motivation as well as writing skills, it helps you find your voice as a writer and to expand your way of thinking as well as getting some really really insightful opinions on the way you write and what you write. And apprently it'll get more specialised as the years go on. So yeah, it's all good.

love all
Will.

Oh oh oh and I wanted to say how SHOCKED I was that the IPR thread closed. I dont mean shocked in a bad way, like I understand why it did, but it felt a bit that truman show movie when it goes off the air when they can't find Truman.
Shudders.
