is there some way using a program to measure realtime how much i am downloading over say the space of an hour? i would just log into my isp site and check my usage, but they update infrequently and irregularly, roughly every hour but its not exact.

I want to find a few things out about
a) my browsing activites, how many megs an hour i might dl just from browsing
b) by gaming activities, how many megs an hour each game i play might use, iam thinking WoW will be high and war3 will be low

if i knew how much they used i could scale back my gaming or assign a certain amount of hours per game and not exceed it.

i used netlimiter which measures the usage over the connection. nothign to do with the isp...
netlimiter is awesome. its for capping each app's net usage individually, but it coutns everything if i remember correctly....
there's heaps out there that update realtime

just wondering how that works

cos if you have a network, how does it tell the downloads of other comps?

youd probably have to install it on the main computer that all the other computers hook up to.
Won't work though if all your computers are connected to the net via a combined router/modem.
