Hey Zenum, you do all of the subjects I do, but SDD.

Nice combinations there, though, as not many would pick IPT/SDD together :)

But yes, I will miss IPT, and it's a good subject :D

Yeah, I've been away from school for about 1 week now.

My last exam being on friday.

IPT was a bludge, you didn't have to work your ass off, maybe when it came to assessments to guarantee high marks, but you can cruise through the course and cram before your trials and HSC.

It's a good subject to do, if you can rote learn, or if you can memorise very well, and you want something that follows a routine eg exercises, theory, reading and answering questions (like most subjects).

IPT can be fun and worthwhile, if you like computers and all.

I'd recommend it too :)

I don't really miss my IPT computer. Why? Because we hardly ever got to use the computers themselves! During the course itself, our school had been going through an upgrade-period, so for a while we didn't have computers to use (at all). It was basically theory and 'writing in our books'.

Once the new computers (P4 2.4GHz, 256MB, 17" CRT, great specs) came in, we hardly ever used computers.

Oh well, my files are still on the main student-server, but there's nothing there that I'm not ashamed of :)

AT the begining of the year we got on the computers pretty often but that got boring so pretty much that didnt influence whether computers was fun or not.
Computers was just fun for many reasons which i cant be screwed to list anyway.

Computing is fun, but IPT isn't fun when you don't even get a chance to TOUCH the computers!

That's not fun at all... we were allowed to use it heaps, on the old machines (which crashed, froze, and generally sucked hard).

But on the new machines, nobody even used them! They were on display or something :chainsaw:

Thats funny, schools buying computer to put them on display.
Our school computers were mostly celeron 500s, i had alot of funs, if i wasnt doing my IPT work, i was repairing the school server cause it kept on crashing and the network admin had no clue what he was doing, this network admin happened to be our teacher.
This admin did not know how to setup internet connection sharing using Mircosoft Internet Services Manager and did know the difference between Windows 2000 Professional and Windows 2000 Advanced Server, i sat there explaining it to him for an hour, im still not sure he understands it oh well.

total crud meat

ipt is boring and useless for computers really. Its should be called computers business transactions cos its mainly just about the workings of large organisations.

I hated IPT.. stupid information systems. Although I topped it in year 11, I dropped it in year 12 - definitely not the "computing" course I expected it to be.
