Is 850 words each english advance essay enough for me to get full marks? (1 Viewer)

Yeah. Probs ~650-700 in the exam though (I got 17.5/20 for that one, meaning one marker gave it 18/20 and the other 17/20 lol)
No offence (so you don't get the wrong idea) but does that mean that Standard marks quite a bit easier than Advanced because pretty much any 700 word essay in Advanced would get hammered...

I wrote around 350 words (basiclly a page and a bit) for my 2nd module for my trials and i got 8/20

I tend to write 900 less than 4 pages, because I have relatively narrow handwriting. Too bad it looks like I write much less.

I wrote 1 page for my creative, didn't include the line they told us to include, wasn't even close to finishing my story and I still got 7/15

But see this doesn't really say anything- your school's marking could be harder or easier (I'm guessing here) than HSC. At HSC, if you don't include the line, you would get hammered

True - with english and to a lesser extent other essay writing subjects, the mark you get at school can be notoriously unreliable in some cases.

Actually, you don't need to include the line that was supplied, there just needs to be a LINK or some aspect of the quote in your response. It's a stimulus, not a requirement to explicitly include in your creative.
