I've got 6-7 weeks left after the trials. Our school will reprimand us if our attendance goes above a certain limit, and its our final year...time to celebrate our last few weeks in school!

I do know that we are at school until sometime in September.

i say it is because u are then after trials studying for the hsc so why wouldn't it be

Yes, the Board of Studies mandates that all students attend a certain number of days, without which the HSC will not be awarded. plus, its good time to revise in class, and have a good time in ur last few weeks of hig school...
