I got couple of virus last mont and I had AVG loaded on my computer and Norton too. I don't really no anything about this, but I guess it's time to learn! I've been doing my homework, so I think I have a good idea of what I'm going to get.

My parents are paying for it, like my college, so I'm not going to take any chances and I'm (they're) going to buy it!

I looked at some, but I think I've narrowed it down to Cyberdefender and PC tools. Cyberdefender semms like it's got more to it cause it covers everything, trojans, anti-virus and it even has ID theft protection. PC tools seems to have a nice interface too though.

Cyberdefender is NASDAQ and is publically traded, but is any good?

Thanks for your in-put.

Having more than one Anti-virus doesn't help... that may have been your problem...

Or it may have been Malware. Probably from all the porn you watched...

Malware bytes Anti Malware for that...

You need to not just be running Anti Virus but anti-spyware and anti-malware

Just Get AVG all in one pack. It cheap and relieable.

If you gonna download stuff please look at the description and see if the site your downloading is legit and safe and if you wanna torrent then read the comment and see if it infected with virus etc.

Yea your right it dosn't help, it actually wont be able to decide which program to use even though they are both installed... It could make your PC crash..

Umm if you are looking for a decent program (anti-virus) then look for "E trust" its great, works well in the background and updates almost everyday...

Bad idea. If you have more than one anti-virus on your comp then they think each other are virus and you get fail.

Look at it from this point of view, Two male dogs wanting the one female dog, they are both going to fight over it.

Yeah, two virus protection programs will cancel each other out.

I've used Avast! free anti virus and found it to be much better than AVG free. I haven't had a virus get past Avast! for around four years.

It uses less memory than AVG, and seems more reliable. I recommend it to anyone who asks.

if you're willing to pay for 1, ive heard Kaspersky is pretty good.

Otherwise use one of the free ones out there, I use AVG and found it to be quite good.

Kaspersky screwed me over.

They made me pay $40 for a license key that didn't work, then wouldn't issue me a new one.
