I'm planning to to do work experience in a dental surgery as a receptionist. After the work experience, is it possible to ask them if you can have a job as a receptionist/ them asking if i want a job because i think you need qualifications to be a receptionist at a dental surgery.

SOMEONE help please? :)

most receptionists are female.

unless the dentist is gay, and you're good looking, your chances are slim

thats ok then, then are there anywhere else you can be a receptionist and have a good chance of being hired afterwards? My school doesnt want us to do retails or tutoring centres.

i highly doubt that they would hire you from year 10/11/12 work experience.
unless you have excellent people./communciation skills, and are 110%, you'd only get jobs in retail.

they probably have a receptionist anyway.

and iirc, for medical/dental jobs you need to have a few certs. which you mentioned earlier

possibly. Have you done the typing programs and all the excel shit?
noppe :(
but i can half touch type :D
and ive done IST as an elective subject last year .
i dont mind not being a receptionist, but i just want to do work experience where its not retail and you can get hired if they see dedication in you, and trust me, i am dedicated to my work. :)

then work your hardest?
suck up to the boss,

be like 'good morning' to all the clients, etc etc,
then at the end of the week,

ask them 'do you know of anyone that is looking for a receptionist' hint hint.
if they say no,

ask them what 'certificates i would need to be a receptionist at a dentists surgery' hint hint

pay was great

As somebody said above, you'd have a lot more luck getting a job in the local library, and i'm sure they are 100% junior friendly :)
To be honest, I reakon you'd have a 1% chance of becoming a receptionist anywhere let alone at a dentist.

Good luck!

Thank you :)
my friend volunteered to working a library once but she said it was tedious because all she did was put back books into the shelves and photocopy.

Anyone know the pay rate for 15 year olds if they have a job in the library? =/

You're looking for work experience so that the employer will employ you after that one week? cause i don't think thats the whole purpose of w.e.

What careers do you have in mind? You could do it at a hospital if you're interested in med or if you wanna try something different, why not an interior design place? :)
